Assess project achievements and progress against established baseline figures. 2. Generate evidence of project impact on health and nutrition outcomes. 3. Document project success through comprehensive visual and written media. 4. Provide a basis for accountability and learning for GIZ and its partners Background & Rationale The Urban Food Security Project (UFSP) was designed to address food insecurity and improve nutritional outcomes within the urban context of Kismayo. In fragile urban environments, coordinating interventions across health, water, and market systems is essential for sustainable impact. Tropical Consult was commissioned to conduct an end-of-project evaluation to measure the initiative's success against baseline indicators and provide a documented evidence base for its achievements. Scope of Work Tropical Consult managed the complete evaluation and documentation lifecycle, including: 1. Designing and implementing comprehensive project evaluations. 2. Developing detailed print documentation and technical reports. 3. Producing high-quality audio-video documentation and a project photobook. 4. Synthesizing findings to demonstrate improvements in community health and nutrition. Methodology & Approach Tropical Consult utilized a multi-disciplinary approach to capture the project's diverse sectoral impacts: 1. Quantitative & Qualitative Assessment: Comparison of end-of-project data against baseline metrics to measure specific achievements. 2.Multi-Sectoral Analysis: Evaluation of interventions across WASH, health, agriculture, and SME sectors. 3.Multimedia Documentation: Use of photography and videography to capture qualitative impact and success stories. 4.Stakeholder Engagement: Inclusion of feedback from residents and healthcare facilities to validate findings.
