Strengthen protection mainstreaming across sectors Background & Rationale Humanitarian crises in Somalia have disproportionate impacts on women, men, girls, and boys due to existing gender inequalities and protection risks. Understanding these dynamics is essential to ensure that humanitarian responses are inclusive, safe, and effective. A Rapid Gender Analysis was conducted to generate timely evidence on gender roles, vulnerabilities, and access to services to inform gender-responsive programming. Scope of Work 1. Conducted desk review of humanitarian and gender-related documentation 2. Designed gender analysis tools and data collection framework 3. Collected qualitative data through KIIs and FGDs 4. Analyzed gender-disaggregated findings 5. Prepared the Rapid Gender Analysis report and recommendations Methodology & Approach A qualitative and participatory methodology was applied, combining desk review with Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) involving women, men, girls, and boys.
