Greening Initiative Services
Tropical Consult assesses the climate change effect on social and environmental and help communities, authorities and institutions develop sustainable project with particular focus on mainstreaming climate change in the policies, educations, and all walks of life. Tropical Consult designs and implements customized short-time trainings and seminars to raise the awareness of the environmental preservation importance to the public. Tropical Consult develops policies with the help of the relevant authorities, implement studies and plan projects in relation to the use and conservation of the environment and biological resources, including but not limited to; marine resource and forestry. Tropical consult focuses on the following 4 action areas:
- Greening Skills and Employment Promotion We focus on equipping individuals and communities with green skills and promoting employment opportunities in climate-resilient sectors. By fostering a workforce with the necessary skills and attitudes, we contribute to shaping green initiatives and facilitating a transition towards sustainable practices.
- Greening Curriculum and Learning Materials Tropical Consult supports institutions in developing lifelong learning (LLL) strategies that incorporate climate education into school curricula, including technical and vocational education. We also assist in integrating climate education into workplace-based learning (WBL), and we develop teaching and learning materials and methodologies that promote environmental awareness and sustainability.
- Greening Master Trainer Qualifications We work towards enhancing the qualifications of educators and policymakers by providing training opportunities that enable them to effectively deliver climate-smart education. By strengthening the capacity of these key stakeholders, we contribute to making educational systems more climate-smart and sustainable.
- Greening Communities We actively encourage community participation in climate education by incorporating it into lifelong learning (LLL) initiatives. We focus on community learning centers as venues for climate education activities and leverage platforms such as social media, television, and community centers to disseminate climate-related information through blogs and other means.
